The Arabian Nights

This is a book of short stories that was originally written in Arabic. The gist of the book is that a king wants to kill his wife, so for 1,001 nights in a row she tells him a different story to keep him amused.

The story’s started to appear around the 9th century. In 1704 it started to get printed in Europe.

“Aladdins Lamp”, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” and “Sinbad the Sailor” are included in the book.
