Divine Comedy

It is a poem/story of Dante’s journey towards redemption. It was written by Dante Alighieri, an Italian poet who lived from 1265 until 1321. He uses himself as the main character.

The spirit of Beatrice, his dead lost love, sends Virgil, the Roman poet, to guide Dante through hell, purgatory and heaven.

A lot of historical figures are in it.

Dante uses “Divine Comedy” as a way to teach the reader about ethics and the consequences of your actions. It is a deeply religious story.
