Concorde

  1. Concorde’s are French, British turbo jets that flew from 1969 until 2003.
  2. They flew at Mach 2.04, “1,350 mph”. They would cruise at 60,000 feet above the earth so the passengers could see the curvature of the earth.
  3. The average passenger number was 100 people. They also transported diamonds and human organs.
  4. In 1986, a Concorde flew around the world. It flew 28,234 miles in 30 hours.
  5. It’s nose cone would flip down so the pilots could land and taxi.
