Neptune is named after the Roman God of the Sea because of it’s deep blue color. It has winds that can get up to 832 miles per second and can get down to negative 353 Fahrenheit.
It has 14 moons, the biggest being Triton. It is 2.7 billion miles from the sun making it the farthest of our solar system. It takes 165 years for it to orbit the sun. It’s day lasts 16 hours 6 minutes.
Neptune is 17 times the mass of earth and is the fourth largest planet in our solar system by diameter.
