Jersey Devil

Janet “Mother Leeds” give birth to a normal baby in 1735. According to legend, the baby then turned into a demon and killed some siblings and midwives. It then flew up the chimney. This happened because Janet already had 12 kids and a deadbeat husband, so she cursed the unborn child to be a demon.

It had bat wings, hooves, goat head and a forked tail. It lives in the Forrest of Pine barrens New Jersey. There have been over 2,000 sightings of it.
